The sixties and seventies were a time of revolution in our country and the winds of change brought about sweeping reforms that significantly altered the lives of many people in our society. One person, Sara Buscemi Kohlhauff, speaks to these changes and how they affected her life choices. You are invited to hear this hope-filled story of how she found herself on a downward spiral of destruction that miraculously brought her back to God through the intercession of our Blessed Mother Mary. She will share her on-going story of hope and redemption and the miraculous calling that our dear Lord has brought her to.

Sara Kohlhauff, a 2014 recipient of the Foundation for Lee County Public Schools Golden Apple Award, has been an educator in Lee County since 1995, and is currently teaching reading to struggling readers in middle school and also working with adult students who are studying to achieve their GEDs. She also works with ESOL students of all ages and teaches Faith Formation to third and fourth grade students at Our Lady of Light. Born and baptized in the Catholic faith, Sara recently found her way back to the Church and the Divine Mercy of Jesus Christ. Her testimony includes an incredible story of a faith lost and found and the miracle of reconciliation and forgiveness through the intercession of the Blessed Mother. The miracles and grace of this reversion continue to shape and form her very close union to God. Sara hopes and prays that through this testimony more will seek forgiveness and healing and that our combined strength and trust in God will eliminate abortion and put an end to the culture of death.
