We all live crazy, busy lives. So, did global corporate executive, Donna A. Heckler: big companies, big travel, big responsibilities had her constantly on the go, until she was forced into two significant “time-outs”, a freak leg injury quickly followed by stage 3 cancer. Facing 12 surgeries in 18 months, Donna had no choice but to sit, quietly, with God.

With a knack for story telling, Donna shares what she learned from her time-outs with God. Her story reminds us that in the midst of our “crazy-busy” lives, in the midst of our darkness, we need to take time for God. We need to be present to those around us. We need to allow our inner, God-given radiance to shine through. As we move forward into the future, we need to have the courage to not only take time for God, but also encourage those in our organizations to do the same.

Donna A. Heckler is a global, strategic brand-marketing executive who has provided guidance for a variety of firms.  In her career, Ms. Heckler has worked for Energizer Batteries, Ingersoll Rand, Cardinal Health and Kimball International and others to lead marketing efforts both domestically and internationally.

A noted speaker, Ms. Heckler has taught and guest lectured at a variety of universities. She has delivered lectures to organizations such as NAMA, The Corporate Board, American Marketing Association and many corporate entities.

Ms. Heckler is the author of the acclaimed book Marketing God: Inspired Strategies for Building the Kingdom, released in August 2019 by Our Sunday Visitor.  She co-authored her first book The Truth About Creating Brands People Love in 2008.  After battling stage 3 cancer, she wrote the award-winning book Living Like A Lady When You Have Cancer.

This international corporate executive is now a “fan-favorite” Catholic author and inspirational speaker who encourages people to live radiantly, letting God shine through them. Her popular speech “And Then God Gave Me A Time-out” reminds everyone to sit quietly with God and to live radiantly despite what is happening in our lives, with God shining through everyday.

Donna holds a BA in Zoology from DePauw University and a MBA in Marketing from Indiana University.  Donna currently serves on the advisory board for Purdue University’s Center for Cancer Research and serves on the board for the Daughters of St. Paul Books and Media – St. Louis.
